Our Vision for Bounties Brew Haus
Imagine walking into a new place, the glass door gently closing behind you. You're immediately struck by how cozy the space is - dark wood, comfortable leather, and soft fabrics catch the afternoon light streaming in through the windows, giving everything a warm glow. Soft music fills the space with white noise. The bartender offers a friendly greeting and finishes polishing the espresso machine, then takes your order.
Drink in hand and tab open (you can already tell you'll be staying a while), you meander through the stacks of shelves full of books and then games until you find a cluster of tables. As you settle in, you notice a woman lounging in one of the deep chairs nearby, book in hand and a half-full iced latte abandoned next to her. She's completely engrossed in the book she's reading.
The table next to you erupts in a brief moment of triumph, stealing your attention. It appears there is a victor to the card game spread across the table. Pokémon. Cards are collected, a new person takes the spot of the apparent defeated and a game begins anew.
Looking around, no one else appears surprised. In fact, you've never seen so many people so comfortable surrounded by different niches of, for lack of a better word, nerds. You begin to wonder if you could perhaps bring your favorite activity here, to this place. Maybe this would be the perfect spot to bring that date, who mentioned an affinity for, what was it? Something uniquely nerdy, you're sure.
This is our dream. To give our community a place where they are free to be themselves. Where their nerdiness is not just accepted, but expected and even celebrated. Where new passions can be discovered, and old pass-times are shared over a great beer, cup of joe, or whatever the drink of the day.
In order to realize this dream, an immense amount of research and work has gone into determining the best course of action to bring it to life. Conifer, Colorado has been our home for the last three years and the perfect location for a Book and Game Cafe and Bar. In our experience, people here are desperate for a good cup of coffee and a place to spend time in community without being rushed. We cater to this desire in a few different ways.
The coffee that we provide is single origin, ethically sourced and brewed on a state of the art espresso machine. This all makes an exceptional tasting cup of coffee that also feels good to drink. In addition, we serve tea made and bagged in Colorado with quality and sustainability front of mind. Rounding out a robust cafe menu with drinks like hot chocolate and cider, we cater to a large variety of palates with equally delicious choices.
For our evening visitors, we have 18 taps that keep the craft drinks flowing. With 12 of the taps pouring a variety of rotating types and origins of beer, 3 pouring cider, and 3 pouring kombucha, there is no shortage of options for a draft beverage. A refrigerator full of canned staples and non-alcoholic beers rounds out our hops drinks. A 24 square foot wooden lattice proudly displays a robust wine selection. With several reds and refrigerated whites ready to pour a glass, the wine lover has a selection of delectable options.
We have not forgotten our younger and sober patrons - sodas, neat and dirty, give non-alcohol drinkers just as many fun and delicious drinks to choose from so everyone can enjoy their time at Bounties.
The hundreds of board and card games, thousands of books, and innumerable trading cards and dice for sale gives every nerd a selection to choose from. The bookcases create a serpentine path through the space, breaking a large room into several smaller ones so each chair and table is nestled into a cozy alcove. Sound is muted by books and tapestries that aid in the ambiance of comfort.
If being around others is the goal instead, enter the community room where 600 square feet of space is full of tables and chairs. Spend time working at your computer with free Wi-Fi, battling it out over the current campaign, or just relish being warmed by the coffee and community. Events occur regularly for each niche of nerd where everyone is welcome. An occasional private event occupies the community room where jubilant celebration filters through the closed door. The patio is also an option in warm weather where tables let you soak in the sun, or after dark hours are enjoyed by the fire pit.
Vision
Bounties is a place of solace for adventurers: to pursue curiosity, build community, and revel in a sense of belonging. Without concern for technology, titles, or time - come for 5 minutes or 5 hours - Bounties provides great refreshments and the right environment for any voyage.
Mission
Bounties Brew Haus is the place to get a great beverage (AM or PM) in a whimsical space for the curious minded. An abundance of high quality beverages, books, boards games, events, and beyond await every adventurer to help embark on the next quest and celebrate latest achievement.
Meet the Team
Lexi Cox
Co-Owner and Events Expert
Lexi was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. A lifetime book lover, she used to bring a flashlight to bed to read after bedtime and as an adult will still stay up too late for "just one more chapter". A career in informal education and event planning prior to Bounties has prepared her to build a nerdy community around the things they love. Owning a Book Cafe is a once-believed pipe dream and she still pinches herself every now and then.

Drew Malhmood
Co-Owner and Card Connoisseur
Raised in Durango, Colorado, Drew was a Pokémon kid - collecting cards and gifts for every occasion. Reconnecting with Pokémon as an adult has been an unexpected joy (though he has been a dedicated Pokémon Go player since it's inception). Joined by an expectation for great coffee, Drew does not do anything half way. Drew is an experienced entrepreneur and has many talents to bring to the Bounties team and Conifer community.

We started Bounties Brew Haus because we wanted a place in Conifer to be our authentic selves and encourage others to as well. We want to celebrate the things that bring each of us joy and allow our community to share their favorite hobbies. We wanted a place to have a nerdy date night. We wanted a place to buy the things we needed to participate in our favorite pass times and keep our money in our community. We wanted a place to learn new things. We wanted a place to spend time in community. So we created it. We can't wait for you to join us.
