Writer's Corner
Each Week on Thursdays we will post a Writing Prompt to get your creativity flowing. You are welcome to complete the writing prompt for your own leisure and sense of accomplishment.
However, if you would like to share your writing, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize. Each month, the winner will be drawn randomly from a list of participating entries for the month's prize.
To enter, complete your piece of writing following the prompt within the designated week. Upload your writing as a PDF in the submission form. Then check back to see your writing and others each week!
For the month of March, 2026 the winning prize is:
A Game of Storytelling
Each time you submit writing in response to a weekly prompt, you will be entered into the drawing for the prize. Limit one entry per person per prompt. There will be new prompts every Wednesday. The winner will be selected on the last day of the month.

This Week’s Writing Prompt (March 19 - 25)

Create a story full of twists and turns.
Write a story that starts off on a positive, then quickly has something unfortunate happen. Just as quickly, something fortunate saves the day, just to be thwarted by an unfortunate circumstance yet again. The more creative and imaginative, the better!
Put at least 6 twists into your story of no more than 600 words.
